Fish are Friends, Not Food

Recently, during some of my downtime while at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas I took the time to explore the giant aquariums they have at the resort and decided to make some photos out of it.

Things you don't want to see directly above you while swimming.

I was at the resort as part of the crew for something entirely different.  We were totally rained out for half of the time I was there and I wandered around as I had no desire to spend any time in the casino.

There were two aquariums, one was a giant site called "The Dig" and the other was a walk-tru, outdoor aquarium.  Both had reef sharks, stingrays, and all kinds of other fish.  Including what is best described as a "B.F.F."  (Big Family Fish?)

I absolutely love having people in my photos.  In this instance, it gives a sense of scale. That is a giant stingray in the sense of "thank god there's glass between me and it." The top photo is a school field trip that was watching the giant stingray.  Did I milk the silhouettes? YUP.   I still tried to make some featury photos; you can't take the daily photojournalist out of me.

All in all, I had fun making photos.
