Shitty Candy and the Circus Peanuts at Caledonia

Amazing what simple, small mistakes you make when you're sleep deprived.

I really like the light at Caledonia these days but i messed up the flashes on the fill.

Now i dont always like nice, even stage lighting. Caledonia's really isn't (around 1/60th/2.8@6400) but they have all 4 LED lamps aimed at center stage, but it falls off fast. So i came up with the bright idea of putting up two strobes to fill in some of the shadows around the stage, as there's a LOT that goes on the stage during a Shitty Candy show.



I put up 2 gridded strobes at 1/64th power just to add some fill. For whatever hairbrained reason, i decided to toss up a strobe on a red gel. The two front lights were already red; adding even more red made Jess' wig turn into a giant blob. So we went black and white and converting it was a lot more difficult then usual. I had to go into the channels and pull down the red and pull up the green.





So next time, gonna have to think more about how i approach these situations.
