Opening Day Baseball
Georgia outfielder Zach Cone (12) sticks out his tongue after reaching second base on an error in the bottom of the first inning as Georgia beats Presbyterian College 11-3 at Foley Field on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 in Athens, Ga.
Its my third opening day in a row for the Georgia baseball team.
Third year in a row I froze my ass off too.

SEC Swimming & Diving
Auburn's Tyler McGill, and George Klein, right, celebrate after they win the 400 yard medley relay during the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships at Gabrielsen Natatorium at the University of Georgia on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 in Athens, Ga.
The SEC's Swimming & Diving Championships were held on my birthday.
I got soaked.
Little did i know that the bulkhead at the end of the lane would be walked on by every athlete. So my pants & shoes got soaked fast. I suppose shorts and flip-flops would have been a better choice.

Finally getting caught up here.
Photographed gymnastics for the first time since 2008. Probably the only time i will this year.

Its Snowed. AGAIN.
A man stops to check his phone in the snow on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 in Athens, Ga. The National Weather Service forecasted up to 3 inches of snow for the region.
Now I'm from up north. I grew up with snow and snow days and playing in the snow.
Now that I'm older, i don't enjoy it one bit. I have to have to work in it and deal with it. This means not playing in it, despite the two sledding parties i could went to. I worked. I shoveled. I had lenses fog up hours after coming out of the snow.
At least working in this can make some good photos.

This is just a neat photo that i shot to run with a feature on a local steelworking business.
I just stuck the camera down and motor drived it while looking the other way.

The Liberty Belle
Stephanie Greene-Williams, of Winder, laughs as she gets off of the World War II era B-17 "Liberty Belle" with the help of Liberty Foundation chief pilot Ray Fowler on Monday Feb. 8, 2010 at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Atlanta. Fowler, a Georgian, is one of only a handful of modern pilots qualified to fly the vintage aircraft. Passengers usually marvel at the narrow bomb bay platform and heavy payload that crew members had to routinely squeeze past just to get into the cockpit. (David Manning/david.manning@onlineathens.com)
Monday, i got to ride in a World War II-era B-17 Bomber, restored and made to look like the original Liberty Belle, part of the Army's 8th Air Corps that flew bombing missions into Germany from England.
This particular airframe never saw combat and was salvaged after being a test-stand for Pratt & Whitney. Its a flying museum and they use it to raise money for Angel Flight and other charities.
While flying over Stone Mountain, i got to look through the bomb sight. :D

Vet School Tour
Veterinary professor Randy Eggleston, left, watches as intern Wesley Lee examines the abbess in a hoof of a horse while Valeria Albanse looks on at the University of Georgia's School of Veterinary Medicine on Tues. Feb. 2, 2010 in Athens, Ga. The school is slated to undergo a $110 million dollar expansion which would increase enrollment up to 150 students per class over a five-to-eight year period.
The University of Georgia is expanding their Vet School and I was able to get very good photos and access, mainly thanks to Dean Sheila Allen, whom acted as my tour guide. They are planning on building a brand new building and increasing their enrollment by 1/3rd.
All in all, I just liked seeing what the Vet School was all about.

Cyclist Silhouette
Caroline Ward rides her bicycle near the intramural fields at the University of Georgia on Wed. Feb. 3, 2010 in Athens, Ga.
I was out feature hunting and this opportunity near the intramural fields presented itself.
I would have preferred it to be cleaner - no lens flare - but i love the textures in the photo of the wood chips. Took about 30 seconds for a cyclist to come by and volia, simple weather feature. Loving the width of the 14mm.

4 Years in the making....
I've been trying to get this photo for about 4 years now.
With apologies to the USMC
This is my Doggah. There are many like it but this one is mine. My doggah is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my doggah is useless. Without my doggah, I am useless.
