An hour after the Flagpole Music Awards, Los Meesfits went to play another show at Caledonia Lounge. I pushed my D700s as far as they would go and got a few decent shots.
For those whom are wondering, Los Meesfits are a Latin Misfits cover band, complete with standup bass, psychobilly style.
Now i like Caledonia, they have good light for a small club with 4 LED lamps hitting center stage. Only problem is, the Meesfits are so big, they take up more than the stage. Add in their Salsa Dancers? Certainly provides a technical challenge if you prefer using ambient light like myself.
All in all, i was pretty happy trying to shoot at 6400 ISO, wide open and 1/10th of a second or slower.
