The Marler Brothers at Depalma's

The Marler Brothers played an outside gig at Depalma's on Timothy Road a week and a half back and i went there as a warmup for Athfest.

Photo yummyness after the jump.....

Usually i frown on outside shows where there's no way to control the light. However since this one was smack-dab in the middle of the golden hour, I decided to go for it. Unfortunately for me (but good for the performers) there was this giant canopy overtop of the stage, that go in the way of all the good light and had giant poles running everywhere.

So i made the best of an ugly situation and tried to frame & compose as best as possible.

I worked like hell to get this shot. I liked the idea of composing it through the suncatcher but there were so many things in the way - trees, canopy stand, people, random iron bars, that it made it difficult.

Might as well use the iron bars to try and compose.
