Three Hours of Work & they didn't run.

Tommy McNaull, center, and Erica Wilhelm react as they watch as the US falls to Ghana 2-1 in the World Cup at Lansdowne Road pub on Saturday, June 26, 2010 in Athens, Ga.

On Saturday i was asked to go to the local Irish pub, which was the epicenter of World Cup watching for Athens. I have never seen a bar that packed for ANYTHING ever. (Hell, there was more room to move at the last Murphys show i went to.)

Kicking it

Winder-Barrow senior soccer player Rebekah Autry on Monday, April 12, 2010 in Winder, Ga. Autry broke the school record for career goals.

If it's Monday, it must be Player-of-the-Week. More after the jump.

Back to the grind....

Cedar Shoals' senior Taylor Davis on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

Well i didn't get to be the one who went to the NCAA tourney and watch Georgia run out of gas in the second half, but I've been dropped back into the daily grind and did a couple of sportraits, one afternoon of court and the glory of watching the NCAA tourney with some fans at a local bar.

After this past weekend, it's hard comming back to the same ol, same ol.

So here's some pictures.

Sophomore Sarah Morton yells in disgust as Corey Butler misses a free throw with a minute to go in the game while fans watch Georgia lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament 73-61 to Xavier on Thursday, March 20, 2008 in Athens.

Mega Update Pt 2: Soccer

The University of Georgia hosted two rounds of the the NCAA women's championship this past weekend. Georgia scored a total of 6 goals in the two games..... but got them all in the first game. Naturally, i shot the second. Pretty standard soccer shots. NOthing spectacular.

Finally got a remote in focus. (Lets here it for a 24mm lens at 500@f/8!) Sadly, there was no action for Mr. goalcam to capture. I was going to put up a second remote BUT the camera i had grabbed had a blown shutter. Ce' La vie.
