Kicking it

Winder-Barrow senior soccer player Rebekah Autry on Monday, April 12, 2010 in Winder, Ga. Autry broke the school record for career goals.

If it's Monday, it must be Player-of-the-Week. More after the jump.

The above photo was the last location and just came out of my rear. I've always wanted to do a bicycle kick, but this is as close as my subject could do one, not without anyone tossing them the ball.

We started off down on the soccer field where we got chased off by the track team. If you're scratching your head about that, so were we alas it was a blessing in disguise.

There was a small berm on the perimeter of the school that allowed me to get very low and get a clean sky. We had done some very cliche type photos and i saw her do that while juggling the ball, so we went with that.

The setup: Nikon d300s 1/250th @ f/11-13 ISO100 flash WB (full review on that camera in a few days), SB800 1/2 power CTO camera left, SB80 1/2 power (no gel) to fill in the rest of the shadows. After about 10 tries and chasing the ball into the street endlessly, we had our shot.
