Wimbledon sensation John Isner came to UGA to hold his annual tennis clinic. The press availability - complete with TV cameras that insisted on getting in the way - lasted for about a 1/2 hour with him playing tennis with some sports anchor more than him playing with the kids.
I got so irritated that i went back to get the 400/2.8 out of the car.
What we do as photojournalists is to tell a story through photos. In this case, it meant shooting as many different pictures as possible. The super-hard part of one of these media circuses is when you have 5 other photographers & 3 TV people all jockeying around to get shots, its damm near impossible to get something clean and without the other shooters in the frame. Its things like these that drive us NUTS because TV guys don't care... well that us until you step on their foot.
